I earned my bachelor's degree in English from Fordham University, and since graduation, I have worked as an educator. For the past several years, I have tutored students in grades 4 through 11. I have also worked to improve standardized tests so they more effectively show each student's abilities.While I am adept at teaching a variety of subjects, I feel most passionate about English. I want to help students improve their reading comprehension levels, build their vocabularies, and write essays with more ease. With the right strategies in place, any student can excel at these tasks. I also provide assistance in other subjects when needed. I am also skilled in Mathematics, and offer help with Algebra, Microeconomics, and Middle School Math. I can also tutor subjects like Sociology, Social Sciences, and Business, and I provide assistance to students preparing for the ISEE, SAT, SHSAT, SSAT, and PSAT.I spend much of my free time thinking up strategies and researching methods to help my students improve. When I have some downtime, I spend it reading and solving crossword puzzles.
